Enhancing Broader Impacts for STEM Research

Broader Impacts are a cornerstone of STEM research, emphasizing the societal relevance and potential of scientific inquiry. The National Science Foundation (NSF) requires grant applicants to demonstrate how their work can build STEM talent, drive innovation, improve society, extend global reach, and engage diverse audiences. Culture Dynamics partners with fellow MIT researchers to co-develop comprehensive Broader Impacts plans that integrate arts, creativity, and culture to address societal needs effectively.

We work with researchers to envision, design, and implement impactful initiatives and research aligned with NSF’s criteria. Whether it’s creating educational tools, applications, fostering public engagement, or building interdisciplinary partnerships, we help transform research ideas into actionable plans that benefit communities, enhance scientific literacy, and promote equitable participation in STEM.
